Below you will find the points I have currently in stock. As pieces are sold the list will immediately change, so be sure to check back often. If  you see something you like, take note of the serial number and e-mail me at rocky1@arkansas.net or call 417-546-5125 between 12 and 6 Central Standard time to reserve it for seven days and receive instruction on payment and shipping.  If there is something you would like custom made that is not on the list, please inquire at the address above. Delays in response may be due to the few short trips we make a year. In the unlikely event that two people want the same point, the individual who contacts me first will be the one who has it reserved. Though there might be only a few minutes between yours and his, if you're first -you get it.

Most all of the pieces shown below are nearly flawless and the scar patterns are correct for the type. If there is a minor flaw in the material or workmanship it will be noted. These pieces are permanently marked using a Sears vibrating engraver with the initials  DCW or W followed by the year date and serial number for that year on the larger pieces.

HEADS UP!

NEW POINTS!

NEW TOOLS!

I'm not going anywhere and do not have any major writing projects planned for the rest of the year, so I hope to be chipping several days a week for the rest of the summer and on into the fall. Regular visitors should expect more timely additions to these pages! DCW

Also, my new copper bopper billets are available. For now, they are listed in the book and video page. Later I hope to list more and the tools will  have a page of their own on this site.

08-55 Southeastern Style Clovis point made from heat treated Florida agatized coral. This one has a broad flute running half way up the show face, while on the back side, the flute is narrower but almost the same length. Fluting was done by free hand percussion. Very nice point that is true to the type! Size, 3 1/4 inches. Price, $60.
08-82 Dalton point made from raw Burlington chert.  This is a beveled base Ozark style Dalton with good pressure flaking on the blade considering the tuff material. A very authentic piece. Size, 4 1/8 inches. Price, $40.
08-93 Holland type point made from beautiful, translucent, light purple and white Novaculite.  This point is a rare, Early Archaic highbred consisting of elements from three types: oblique flaking of the blade is Dalton, the outline of the blade and base are a mix of Scotts Bluff and Hardin.  I have seen one original point that was like this one and it served as the inspiration for this magnificent piece! Size, 4 3/4 inches. Price, $65.
08-219 Dovetail made from  heat treated, colored Crescent chert.  This one is of the  "Medium Base" variety.  Length, 4 5/8 inches. Price, $45.
08-128 Thebes point made from heat treated Crescent- Burlington chert. With a W/T ratio of 8 to 1, this is an exceptionally thin  piece with a broad blade and deep notches. In places, the edges are as thin and sharp as a modern steel steak knife! This point was the result of R&D trials while developing a set of new design copper boppers that we plan to make available in the future. I think they will do just fine! Length, 4 7/8 inches. Price, $100.
08-136 Thebes point made from colorful heat treated Crescent- Burlington chert. With a full width blade, this is a very good example of the type in pristine condition before use and re-sharpening by beveling the edges.  Length, 4 1/2 inches. Price, $80.
08-15 Bolen point made from heat treated Florida agatized coral. This variety of the Archaic Bolen points found in the Deep South were patterned after there northern cousins, in this case, an E-notch Length, 3 9/16 inches. Price, $60.
08-195 Decatur Fractured Base Point made from colorful Flint Ridge chalcedony. This is an Early Archaic corner notch variety with a unique feature. The edges of the base have been fractured off by the removal of tiny burin flakes from the corners of the stem. Also, the sides of the stem were treated the same way. This is one of the nicest specimens of the type I have made to date! Length, 2 1/2 inches. Price, $30.

For more on these points, see my article in The Best Of CHIPS The Third Five Years, pages 112-117.

08-211 Lost Lake Type made from a heat treated Burlington chert creek pebble. Has nice deep notches and a little color. Length, 3 3/4 inches. Price, $25.
