Below you will find the points I have currently in
stock. As pieces are sold the list will immediately change, so be sure
to check back often. If you see something you like, take note of the
serial number and e-mail me at
rocky1@arkansas.net or call
417-546-5125 between 12 and 6 Central Standard time to reserve it
for seven days and receive instruction on payment and shipping.
If there is something you would like custom made that is not on the
list, please inquire at the address above. Delays in response may be
due to the few short trips I make a year.
In the unlikely event that two people want the same point, the
individual who contacts me first will be the one who has it reserved.
Though there might be only a few minutes between yours and his, if
you're first -you get it.
Most all of the pieces shown below are nearly flawless
and the scar patterns are correct for the type. If there is a minor
flaw in the material or workmanship it will be noted. These pieces
are permanently marked using an electric vibrating engraver with the initials DCW or W
followed by the year date and serial number for that year on the
larger pieces. |

10-256 Clovis point made from Reeds
Spring chert. This classic point is made from high grade material
that is reminiscent of some ball cherts from farther north and east.
If the Clovis people had entered the Ozark region they would have
favored this stone as well. The point has a relatively thin cross
section with a single, broad flute on the
show face that is 1/2 the length of the point, the other face has
three flutes, the longest running 2/3. I liked this piece when
I made it and am loathed to part with it! Length, almost 4
inches. Price $100.
SOLD |
 |
10-260 Clovis point made from rare,
black marbled Novaculite. The flute on the
show face is over 1/2 the length of the point, the other is about 1/3. Not only is this a great
point but a wonderful mineral specimen as well! Length, almost 3
1/2 inches. Price $80.
SOLD |
 |
10-269 Ozark Beveled Base Dalton point made from
ruff Crescent Burlington chert. This a unique regional
variant in which the stem edges are beveled to the opposite faces
and then heavily ground like other Daltons. The beveling on the
blade is opposite that on the stem. Length, 4 1/2 inches.
Price, $35. RESERVED |
 |
10-254 Ozark Beveled Base Dalton point made from
Boone chert a variety of Reeds Spring. This is a unique
regional variant in which the stem edges are beveled to the opposite
faces and then heavily ground like other Daltons. The beveling on
the blade is opposite that on the stem.
Length, 3 inches. Price,
$25.
SOLD |
 |
10-220 Dovetail point made from
rare, black marbled Novaculite. This point is of the "wide base" style. A
super piece with super color. Length, 4 3/16 inches. Price, $70.
SOLD |
 |
10-257 Lost Lake point made from
rare, black marbled Novaculite. This is a supper, big
piece with a full, un-beveled blade and great color! Length,
4 7/8 inches. Price, $85.
SOLD |
 |
10-261 Thebes point made from rare,
pink Novaculite. This supper, big piece has a full,
un-beveled blade and the color is pinker than in the scan! Length,
4 3/8 inches. Price, $65.
SOLD |
 |
10-259 Large Kirk Corner Notch point made from
rare, moss Novaculite. Due to questions about the structural
integrity of the piece I left it a little heavier in the blade, but
no thicker than a good prehistoric knapper would have under the same
circumstances. Any way, the color is outrageous! Length,
3 11/16 inches. Price, $35.
SOLD |
 |
10-258 Hardin point made from heat
treated Peoria chert. A nice representative of the type,
though most were made from Burlington chert. Length, 4 3/16 inches. Price, $40.
SOLD |
 |
10-247 Fancy Calf Creek made from heat treated Burlington
chert. This is a nice specimen with a little flair!
Length, 3 inches. Price, $35.
SOLD |
